Moving Here

Guest post written by my buddy Bernardo Graham

Moving here was tough and I think it’s mostly because I’m so far away from my family. I’m really close to all my siblings and my mom but we had to take this job so we could get a sustainable income back in again. My husband and I have two kids but they’re young enough not to really know what the move is all about – I’m the one who’s going to have to deal with it for the most part. I love being at home with the boys all day but you know, I really miss my sisters. I got http://www.wildbluedeals.com/satellite-internet/oklahoma/k/kingston/ service for the house so I could email and keep up with them on Facebook but it’s not the same as being able to go over to their houses in the middle of the day. I’m the first person in the family who decided to move away but just between you and me, I wouldn’t have chosen this if I hadn’t had to – I wish we were back home instead of in Oklahoma.

Received 6th Cheque from Nuffnang

Above is my 6th cheque from Nuffnang which I received today in my letter box. Thanks Nuffnang! More moolah for some Christmas shopping this month. I don't intend to accumulate too much and will cash out each time I hit the minimum payment threshold. Though it is nothing to shout about and not in the range of thousands unlike a few bloggers with high traffic, nevertheless it is better than nothing. And I consider this passive income doing nothing other than my hobby which is blogging. Hope to maintain my Glitterati status so as to continue to promote my blog posts on a regular basis.

Christmas Corporate Gifts

Christmas is less than a month away and many Christian companies are already getting some Christmas corporate gift ideas from the various web sites to present client Christmas gifts as a gesture of goodwill for their business. There are many cool corporate gifts that you can purchase from the internet in bulk for your staff, employees or corporate clients. Gifts like Christmas mugs with Santa's pictures or images of Christmas trees, crystals, photo frames, key chains, card holders, pen holders, Selangor pewter, perfumes, toiletries, Body Shop products, et cetera.

December is the most joyous time of the year with much merry making and laughter. Carolers sing carols at major shopping complexes to bring cheer to the shoppers. Santa Claus will be busy distributing sweets to the children and please the parents. I will most probably go to a mountain resort to chill out literally during Christmas. The hotel has been booked by phone and it was confirmed. You have to book early to get a place during this peak season which is more expensive than the usual charges.

When I was in Singapore many years back, Christmas means gift exchange over 8-course meal dinner in hotels or posh Chinese restaurants with relatives year after year. I love those times we were together to celebrate this festive occasion.

Met Amber Chia at Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant

Just the other day, I was dining at Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid on the ground floor when we were told that the table next to us was reserved as we had our lunch there. Shortly later, Amber with her cohort of models and family walked in to sit right beside us. They occupied 2 tables with her baby son seated next to me. I did not take the liberty to snap any photos wit her as she was busy tending to her son, but chatted with me and my partner for a short while. Her husband was very well dress in a coat just as Amber was in a white dress with some jewellery. They left shortly after before us - as fast as they came in.

eCommerce Website Design

I was a freelance website designer way back in 2001 and managed to get a few clients from the internet, chat sites, etc. Those were for Macromedia Flash Animated banners and buttons and fully Flash websites. I was very motivated at that time. Now I rather let other companies like new york web design to the work as I now hold a full time job as an Information Technology executive.

New York web design also offers ecommerce website design where you can accept credit card payment for your products listed in the pages. A payment merchant gateway is linked with shipping cart or also known as shopping bag as the intermediary link before checking out for final payment via your credit card.

For a profitable website, you need to allow an ecommerce solution to be linked in so that the payment is 24/7 all year around. And you can sell to anyone around the world at any time of the day or night. That is why many internet millionaires are made from their ecommerce sites like selling ebooks, tangible products, etc. You can check out the links given above and they have a neat website that is easy to navigate with fast turnaround time. They also have scalable prices to suite the various budgets.

I Love Making Money Online

I have paid articles to write almost every day and am paid in US dollars. Now and then I also earn from Google Adsense or now known as Ad Choices. Every 2 months I get from Nuffnang the minimum to cash out and am happy with my progress so far. My online venture has brought in thousands of ringgit for me every year and this is free money from the internet. I also earn interests from my bonds, fixed deposits and in future, my rental income as I plan to rent out my small apartment unit in Penang Times Square. I can accummulate a little here and there from the various multiple sources of income - be it offline or online every month for my savings towards retirement down the road in years to come.

Being Old is a Pain

The Author of this post is Cheryl Martinez

Sometimes, being an adult is kind of a pain. I think back fondly to my time before mortgages and power bills. Obviously I didn’t appreciate the freedom I had back then while I could. I’m incredibly aware that the period of life I’m in now also contains a sort of freedom I won’t enjoy once I have children, so I’m doing my absolute best to make the most of this time I have now with my husband. The best part of being a young adult with no children is the ability to travel, and we’re doing our very best to do as much of that as possible. The bad news is, anytime we travel we feel a little like we’re leaving our house unprotected. Worrying about your house the entire time you’re trying to relax on vacation is completely counter-intuitive. For this reason, we recently installed a homesecurityfamily.com. We now know that our home is being protected while we’re away, and we are able to fully relax and enjoy the time we have together. It’s one of the best investments we’ve ever made.

Going to KL Soon

Last week, my boss has informed me that I will be going to KL this week. It will most probably be tomorrow or the day after. I have just finished processing 70 envelopes which is the third batch for this year - putting calendars and marketing letters into the envelopes, chopping the company address, pasting stamps, sealing them and finally pasting on the receivers' addresses. Although I work from a home office, there will always be work every day, depending on the amount which may vary according to email enquiries, etc. Sometimes, I also need to type out invoices and delivery orders and email them to existing clients. Being the only employee who handles all the computer work, I have to work fast and be proficient in MS Word, otherwise, you may be overwhelmed with the amount of work each day.

Working at Home and Its Benefits

Working at home certainly has its advantages. First of all, I save a lot of money on gasoline from commuting to a different work place. Secondly, I save money on office clothes and make-up. Hence I work in my pajamas or casual clothes like a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Thirdly, I get to nap anytime I want to. Fourth, I don't have any nosy supervisor to look over my shoulders and checking on me. Fifth, I work at my own pace, setting the time and mood to work. It is like being my own boss at home. And I thank God for my blessings with a dream job since early 2004 until today.

I get paid a basic salary plus commissions for the projects that I bring in via my web site. That is why for every enquiry, I have to treat them as potential clients and print out for my boss to read every day. As my boss' laptop is spoilt, he is depending on me alone to show him all the printed emails and enquiries each day. We have good working relations and he puts his complete faith in me. We are a small company but a dynamic one where the use of computer and the internet is of utmost importance.

Lawyers and Actos

I have not heard of Actos before I chance upon a web site as stated below about the dangers of taking it orally. They are bad side effects and you can take up legal action against the company should you become ill due to its consumption.

Some of my relatives are lawyers with their own firms. They are successful businessmen and women in their own rights. I have an aunt who is a notary public, solicitor and commissioner of oath. She is now retired and enjoying life to the maximum. There are different areas of law such as conveyancing which deals with property transactions like drafting out the Sales and Purchase Agreement between the developer and buyer. There is also litigation where you have to fight out in court representing your clients.

Talking about law, you might like to know that some diabetes patients who have taken Actos may face an increased risk of developing bladder cancer. A US firm is actively accepting Actos bladder cancer cases nationwide. If you are a non-smoker who has contracted bladder cancer after taking Actos, contact Watts Guerra Craft LLP today. You can check out more about it by clicking on the link here >> actos attorneys.

I have previously worked for my solicitor aunt as a temporary legal secretary. She was using the old WordStar software in DOS application. Being an IT graduate, I got her to change to Windows operating system and she is now happily using MS Word and the internet.

My Hobby - Making Money Online

My hobby is making money online and that includes blogging. So it is not a drugery but something that I love to do in my free time by the computer. I have multiple sources of income both online and offline and these can add up to quite a substantial amount every month. That's because I earn in US dollars and the conversion is 3 times more of our local ringgit. The job is easy to handle and besides, I work all alone in my home office. It is like being your own boss, except that my boss is in another office of a different location in Penang.

Milking the Internet

I have my own ways of milking the internet such as offering virtual assistance, selling e-books, article writing service, web designing, blogging, etc. I also earn from contextual advertisements from my web sites like Google Adsense, Nuffnang, Churp Churp and Infolinks. Besides that I also sell Herbalife at Supervisor price which is near 50% discount, the highest discount you can get for the product.

The computer is my life line and a source of income on a monthly basis. I have a full time employment with a company specialising in sports surfaces and part time income doing what I love - writing and blogging. I am working hard now to save up more money for my retirement down the road in years to come. So, make hay while the sun shines for that my retirement will be golden years ahead and not woeful years begging in the streets like a vagrant. I make good income now and then, but it requires blood, sweat and tears to put bread on the table.

Laughing to the Bank

I am making good income now and then. But it requires blood, sweat and tears. And at the end of the day, it is time to laugh all the way to the bank. People like Timothy Tiah, Red Mummy, Kenny Sia are doing pretty well with their blogs and online venture and not only that, get to travel the world over for their efforts. These people are enjoying their work cum play and laughing all the way to the bank. I am not surprise if their are already millionaires or on the way to become one soon. And humility keeps them rooted to the ground. Thanks to Timothy, small time bloggers like me are able to earn some allowances from our blogging efforts.

More to Life than Just Work

Some people are parasites, depending on others to feed them and refuse to work. It is not that they cannot work, but they choose not to work and take the easy way out, like sitting the whole day in the shop lot waiting for customers to walk in and give them business. For others, they prefer to nap the whole day and give excuse after excuse like cannot handle work pressure, etc. Just yesterday, I read an article in the newspapers of a young girl, a graduate in Computer Science from Australia who committed suicide after having depression and came back from Taiwan six months ago. This is so tragic as her condition could be averted by taking medication and seeing the mental health doctor. Life is more than work, it is about enjoying what you do and learning how to handle the daily grind and dreary pressure that may come along your way.

Austin Legal Service

I am thankful for God's protection that I have never been involved in an auto accident as I always travel in a car and not in a bike which is more prone to getting accidents. And I travel frequently on the North South highway for business with my colleague in a car which needs servicing constantly. It is functional enough to transport us from Penang to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa. If you have been injured through the negligence of another party, you need an experienced personal injury lawyer like Austin personal injury lawyer to advocate for your recovery. The attorneys and counselors at O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath concentrate their practice on personal injury and auto accident cases. These professionals will vigorously fight for your full recovery. How to Be Truly Rich

No matter how much you earn, to be really rich is to spend less than you earn each month. This is basic financial principal. As long as you can save some money, say 10% of your income every month, you will become rich when you retire eventually. Many financial experts keep writing in their books to tell us to spend way less than we earn. Otherwise, you are just a transit for money transactions. You need to attract money and not repel it. By using compounding interests, you will become rich in a matter of years as you faithfully keep at saving money monthly. There is no other way for most of us who have to slought it out daily, year in year out.

Study of Cosmetics

I used to spend a lot of money on cosmetics in my younger days. Now at my age, I hardly put on any makeup whenever I go out except for functions and dinners. When I was working for a bank in Singapore, I used to put on make-up every day to go to work and dress like an executive with a jacket on above office clothes. Beauticians and students who have interests in attending a cosmetology school, can check out the link given by reading more about it. I used to have a colleague who turned into a beautician because valuation work was not cut out for her. She is not proficient in using the computer with the various software installed like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis, Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country. Regency has expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to 80 (and counting) campuses across 19 states, with continued growth every year. Regency Beauty Institute is the fastest growing beauty school in the United States. It is spreading like wild fire all over USA with many students enrolling the course to become future beauticians and business owners.

This blog post was based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com or contact Regency Beauty Institute – 3583 Alpine Avenue NW – Walker, MI 49544.

95% of Businesses Fail

I might be going to KL tomorrow for business. My colleague and I will meet up with a potential client there before we come back to Penang after 1 or 2 days there. Just last week, I was also in KL, also for business. It is good to have a thriving business where we can get enquiries now and then and some serious customers wish to meet up with us for the project. The only way to be rich is through investment, inheritance, marrying into rich spouse and doing a successful business. You can also be wealthy if you have a specialist talent and knowledge like being a lawyer, doctor, engineer, accountant, etc. but working for other people is slower to be rich compared to doing your own business. Unfortunately, 95% of businesses fail in the first 5 years of operation and have to wind down. Only the remaining 5% will strike it rich.

Offered Web Site Designing Work

Early this year, I have been approached for web design work but thank goodness I had to turn it down due to commitment to current work – otherwise I will be very busy like a bee switching between two jobs at one go. Besides, some of the requirements are beyond my knowledge and I don’t have the time to do research on the internet just for the skill. So it is better to let the professionals handle it and earn their keep. Besides, they are trained and learnt all the necessary skills in college to build a functional web site with content management added. My web design skills are self taught and all learnt from the internet and from joining forums of related topic. But I can still offer static web design pages if the requirements are simple and straight forward.

How I Met

Guest post by Jewel Cole

I’m only 24, but I’ve already begun to feel like I’m too old to be single. My sisters and my mother were all married right out of college. In my family, I’m in virtually uncharted territory. I have no boyfriend, and I’m sure I’m not the only person who is wondering if I will ever get married. Last night my roommate and I were talking about whether we could ever see ourselves being propose to or having a husband. Neither of us could. I sometimes try to imagine what my future husband would be like, and nothing ever comes to me. I do, however, like the idea of him thinking about me. I can imagine him telling our children this long elaborate story about the events leading up to being introduced, forming a relationship and getting married. Or perhaps that’s all only imaginable for me because I’ve spent so many nights watching How I Met Your Mother on expert Satellite. It is, however, much easier for me to imagine my children. They’ll exist, one way or another, I’m sure of it.

Going to Kedah in a Short While

I will be going to Kedah in a short while to collect a cheque for the sports courts that my company has installed. This is part of the progressive payment. We will also bring some balls to the owner as free gifts which is part of the agreement. Tomorrow I might go to KL again and I have been contacted for virtual assistance yesterday plus another contact for advertisement on one of my blogs that has a page ranking of 2. I certainly love to work from my home office and getting offers here and there. 2 days ago was pay day and I plan to invest in a gold savings passbook account with Public Bank soon. The price of gold has increased from $123 last year to $170 this year. It will continue to rise which has been the trend for the last 10 years!

Investing in the Stock Market

I am reading up on finance books and also on investing in the Malaysian stock market. Though I have already opened an online trading account with Public bank last year, I still dare not trade yet for lack of knowledge. Now, as I read more books on investing and financial ratios like ROE or Return on Equity which measures profitability or PE ratio for Price Earnings Ratio and Debt Equity Ratio, etc. You also need to know how to calculate intrinsic value or book value of the share in a company so that you don't over pay and buy at a discount, preferably below 2/3 its actual price.

More Opportunities to Blog

This morning, as I woke up quite early at around 6:30am, I checked for opportunities and found several. So now I am in a blogging marathon which reminds me that Penang Star Walk 2011 starts next month and you can start registration now. I also received a free ebook to review which will need to be paid for other people later on to access it. My food blog has attracted international attention and I have been contacted before for an interview with an Australian Radio show on Clinic Cafe but I had to gently turn it down. Otherwise, it would mean more traffic spikes for my food blog. But it is doing fine on its own.

Milking the Internet

Making money on the internet certainly requires some effort and luck. Your computer is your cash cow for you to milk from the internet with broadband connectivity. You have to be resourceful by scouring through the thousands of web sites to find the select few that pays regularly for some work done in a timely manner. Nobody is going to teach you how to do it and it is up to your determination to find the needle in the haystack. During good times, it was lucrative but not anymore. A lot of people are still jobless and the unemployment rate hovers around 9% in USA in current times.

Actos Lawsuit

Actos is an oral diabetes medicine that has been shown by recent studies to lead to serious injuries such as heart attacks, heart failure, and an increased risk of bladder cancer, which can result in an Actos lawsuit. Pioglitazone, the chemical name for Actos was sold under the trade names Actos, ActoplusMet, Competact and Duetact.

So beware of what you are buying off the shelves from the pharmacy in your neighborhood. Some of the medication that we take may have adverse side effects. So it is better to do some research on the internet first before purchasing that medication or as prescribed by your doctor who may be unaware of the lawsuits. Hence, it is good to seek second or even third opinion from the medical experts if you can afford it. You can never take your health for granted and trust to consume every medication given to you safely.

Some of the side effects may take years to be discovered by clients or patients. By then it may be too late for you already. So, be in the know all the time as knowledge is power and brings good health. Some of the medication may cause obesity or numbness of the peripherals. Others may have worse side effects.

Writing Opportunities

Yesterday, I received several writing opportunities from a client for USD 5 per article. Not to put a feather to my cap, but I make a humble USD 35 in one day which could be equivalent to half the amount of Google Adsense revenue for some lucky bloggers who make USD 60 - USD 70 daily, or even more. Unlike Google Adsense, I had to work hard at it and the money will not be credited immediately but takes months before you see it in your Paypal account. I started typing out the articles from morning till evening with some rests in between. That is how hard I work at it. But each day, money will surely trickle in slowly but surely. At the moment, my blogs do not have such high traffic to bring in monthly income of USD 100, but I am getting there some day.

Work like the Ant

You need to work like the ant, always storing food up for winter. Don't be like the grasshopper which sings all day along enjoying life for the moment but goes hungry when winter comes! We should emulate the little wise ant, always working and will never go hungry. In the Bible, we should work until the day we die so that our minds will remain active and alert in our golden years. This will help prevent Alzheimer's Disease - a debilitating sickness that eats away the brain and leads to eventual death. You will lose your mobility, cognitive actions, recognition of familiar faces, etc. Basically you will become a vegetable, depending on your caregivers for basic daily life.

Travelling Around

I just toured Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen in China early this month. It was a trip well spent and to rejuvenate from all the work every day - day in day out. I must say that Hong Kong is quite crowded, being a hilly terrain in a small area. I also came back from Kuala Lumpur last week and brought along my laptops to work with and to check emails from the several enquiries.

Kuala Lumpur is like second home to me now - I go there almost every week. And I love the food outlets in Taipan, a happening place that is full of activity with many banks, bakeries, eateries and commercial lots. Taipan is very near to the rented apartment in USJ. Whenever I have the opportunity, I will make it a point to travel to at least one foreign country per year and get to experience the many sights, cultures and people.

Afterall, it is not often that you get to travel when you are old - so might as well make the best use of the opportunities while you are young and mobile. Life is going on well for me - never having to struggle again to work in another organization and fear whether you will be confirmed or not. My current boss is generous and understanding. And the best part is that I work alone at home with a laptop and internet connectivity. This has been going on for the last 7 plus years and we are a small but dynamic company.

Not Easy to Make Money Online

Unless you are Timothy Tiah, the boss of Nuffnang, most of us are not making good money online. But some of the select blogger with very high traffic are making stable income online - thanks to the sponsored posts from Nuffnang to Red Mummy, 5 x m o m (who by the way, got someone reported her to the police about her seditious tweet recently and for being too obnoxious and big-headed). You can read about it in The Straits Times page 10 on yesterday's issue. Making money online was quite a lucrative business for me in 2007s but not anymore! And I am not the only one affected. Most of the highly paid bloggers also got the cold shoulder.

So now we have to rely on other means to make money online like pay per click, pay per view, or pay per email read, etc. But these are very time consuming and pay very little like 0.5 cent to 1 cent each. Money goes out each month like turning on a tap and let the water run out. But making money is not easy as we have all known, unless of course you are Timothy Tiah, able to conceptualize a brilliant idea and make it work so well not only in Malaysia but other countries as well.

I love to work at home

I love to work at home without all the unnecessary distractions like office politics, jealous colleagues reporting your faults to the boss or creating false accusations that are even worse, back-stabbing, etc. I can work with a peace of mind and I work independantly. By being segregated from the rest of the workers, I can produce productive work and it justifies for me to continue to work at home. The company is small but dynamic with people like me working hard quietly in front of our computers. My boss is very active and healthy despite his age - still able to run around and helm the company to greater heights.

Moonlighting on the Internet

It is good to be able to moonlight on the internet. I get SOCSO and EPF benefits working for a full time job at a home office and part time income by moonlighting through the internet. Therefore, I have a few sources of income and mainly from my government bonds which give the highest return at 5% per annum. I like to make my money work for me and not the other way around. Making money on the internet is possible if you know how. But like all the other people, I have to search for it and find out by myself. No one is going to teach you how and you should not be wailing like a kid expecting to be spoon fed when you are hungry!

Prozac Lawsuit

I have taken some medication before and some of them have adverse effects like Tetracycline which stains my teeth yellowish. It should have been banned but my stupid doctor without integrity still prescibed it to me when I was a kid. Growing children should not consume Tetracycline when they are young as the bones and teeth will be stained yellowish. Likewise for Prozac. Prozac, is an anti-depressant medication. Its chemical name is Fluoxetine. Prozac was also sold under the trade names of Sarafem and Fontex. This drug may cause birth defects and lead to a Prozac lawsuit.

Prozac Uses

Prozac is used to treat major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It has also been prescribed for cataplexy, obesity, and alcohol dependence.

Prozac Birth Defects

Taken prenatally, Prozac can result in serious birth defects. Pregnant women who took Prozac may have children with congenital heart defects. According to the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, fetuses exposed to Prozac during early pregnancy are more than twice as likely to be at risk for heart defects. This birth defect requires surgery to be corrected.

In 2006, The New England Journal of Medicine published a study showing that women taking anti-depressants have six times the risk of infants developing persistent pulmonary hypertension of newborn (PPHN), a potentially fatal lung defect. In addition, a 2007 study in the same journal showed that women taking anti-depressants prenatally are more than twice as likely to have infants with skull and intestinal deformities.

Help If You’ve Been Injured by Prozac

At O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, our attorneys understand that your child’s birth defects may not be your fault – instead, possibly a dangerous side effect of Prozac. Our expertise and experience, combined with our highly trained staff, make us uniquely well-equipped to handle even the most complex products liability claims.

If only we are educated about the adverse effects of some of the medication that are sold off the counter, we can avoid unnecessary health problems later on. The government and health authorities should also be vigilant in checking the safety of these medication by conducting frequent tests and getting feedback from the public on the effects after consuming them.

I hate People who Lie

Those without integrity, are constantly late, dishonest and are a habitual liar should not exist here. They form the society's ill nation that rob the country of its prosperity. Malaysia is a welfare state, always giving to the poor but not helping to educate them to become better. They more you give, the more they expect handouts. And these poor Malays multiply like mushrooms after the rain, giving the nation bigger problems later. You have to keep feeding them, giving in to them until dooms day!

Have been very busy lately

This blog has not been updated for some time due to me being very busy with work recently. There have been frequent travels to Kuala Lumpur to complete a big project in Klang Valley. Beside, blogging is just a part time work and hobby for me. I prefer to work at home and work in front of a computer than to sit idly in a shopping lot waiting for time to pass by. And the pay in a shopping lot is not that great either. You get to meet crazy colleagues with health problems, could barely hear you talk but talk away like a machine gun! Pity my ears!

A Party at Our Place!

Guest post written by Guy Philips

Last week, my wife and I hosted a Super Bowl party, and it went really great. We invited our neighborhood friends, as well as our friends from work. We had a lot of people come out and everyone wanted to contribute to the food supply. Before the game started we had a ton of food. It was great. From what I saw, everyone had a good time. Our television is large enough so that everyone could see the game easily. Also, I set up the house stereo speakers so that we could have surround sound. That turned out to be a good decision. It really helped people get into the game.

In all, I think we really hosted a great Super Bowl party. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we had more food and drinks than we could finish. The only thing I would have changed was the fact that our kitchen wasn"t looking so great. Most people stayed in the living room, but I"d still like to get it remodeled for when we host parties in the future. I think I"ll search for sears kitchen remodel South Dakota tonight and see what I can do to fix it.

Making Money is Fun

Making money is fun, but you have to certainly put in much effort there. You also need to make sure that you make more than you spend. Otherwise making money before fruitless if you have higher expenditure than savings. It would defeat the purpose of saving up for your retirement down the road. I love work from a home office and have been doing it since February 2004. I work at my own time schedule and be my own boss. And the best part is I get SOCSO and EPF benefits.

Just Came Back from KL

I just came back from KL last night from a business trip. My colleague has collected the check from a client for badminton courts installed in KL. It was a mad frenzy to search for the office as we blindly follow our instincts. But alas, after 1 hour, I decided to call the client and asked for directions. That was when I decided to get out from the hypermarket and go back to Shell petrol station and start from there. Finally, we found our target but not without much sweat and walking around.

Coupons or Interests from My Bonds

Every month, I get slightly over $200 from my bonds. These are coupons or interests accumulated over the month. And every 3 months, I get about $1,400 in total. The coupon rate is 5% per annum for 3 years. One of my bonds has matured just last month and I put the money into Fixed Deposits for about 3% interests rate. I just don't have the time to invest in the share market as I hold a full time job and cannot afford to monitor the movements of the market and predict a bull run or bear run. So, to avoid unnecessary stress and headaches, I decided to invest in safe money instruments like FD and bonds.

Attended Frances Yip's Concert

I attended Frances Yip's concert a few days ago and my God, she has such a powerful golden voice! I bought her CDs for $30 and I love every one of her songs. She studied in a convent school and will never pose in the nude or wear too revealing clothes to bring in more sales. I believe she is a practicing Christian with strong values. The concert ticket cost $101 per person and the seat was in a corner right at the top. But nevertheless, there is a giant screen where you can see her facial features and expression when singing. She changed her clothes 4 times during the performance and it was well worth the money put in. She is a very talented lady and blessed with a golden voice.

Going to the bank later

I was on a business trip last week when I got a call from Public Bank requesting me to go there and discuss about my investment in government bonds that has matured and money put back into my savings account. I am not sure what the bank officer wants to discuss with me about but I need to weigh the pros and cons of further investment that involves unit trusts or share market. With uncertainty in the Middle East, and Japan's problems, the share market is very volatile and I never believe in putting my hard-earned money there. And I don't plan to invest in properties as money put in properties are illiquid. You cannot withdraw immediately or sell immediately and you will need emergency cash if anything happens.

My relative is a lawyer

I have a nephew who is a lawyer and trained in Australia. He did very well for his pre-university exams and got offered a job even before he graduated. By now I am sure he is a practicing lawyer in Australia. In Singapore, it is not easy to get to study for a law degree in the National University of Singapore or simply abbreviated as NUS. You need to exercise self-supremacy, have an extroverted character and gung-ho attitude. This attributes are needed because you need to be able to fight a case for your client in court and to win. That is where Topamax lawsuit comes in where you can make claims for your clients who are victimized. You also need to have a winner's attitude and not be too emotionally attached to your clients.

Got paid today in interests for my bonds

Today I received RM 205 in my Public Bank account for bonds invested some time back. It gives higher returns than Fixed Deposits which is at 5% compared to 2.75% for FD. The bonds are at 3 years maturity. Tomorrow, my 2 fixed deposits at Maybank will mature after 1 year tenure and I am going to put for monthly maturity compared to yearly. I always keep track of my finances and how much I have accumulated. This will give me an indication on how much to spend and whether I have reached my targeted savings. Making money and earning it is fun!

Made USD 10 Yesterday

Yesterday, I got an opportunity to write and made USD 10 or around RM 30 for about 200 words. That was easy considering I crap a lot and yet can make money. Now I am going to crap even more and it is easier this way - not only that people love to read craps and keep coming back for more. And you believe me when I said I made USD 10? Well, that is up to you to believe or not. Otherwise, there is nothing to blog about. Haha! Do you believe me when I tell you that I made USD 15k from Adsense? Again that is up to you to believe or not. Now I have to pluck out the hair on my arm pits and dig my nose! It is not roll and throw but roll and wash! You know what I mean.

I Love Money

I have some cash in Fixed Deposits, Bonds and Savings Account. Not only I love money, but who doesn't? Nobody in their right sense of mind will work for free and you need to bring back food to the table for your family. People even rob, cheat, steal and kill for money! That is how desperate some people are to make quick cash. We read of many people being conned of their hard earned savings to con men who use the internet, handphone and all the gadgets to reach their potential victims. Hence, to earn money is not easy, but to spend it is like drinking water every day. We need to be mindful of what we spend on and come out with our expenditure list to check that we don't overspend more than what we earn.

I have a Good Job

I only blog on a part time basis and not glued to blogging all the time. I have a full time job you know. And I get to work from a home office, enjoy perks like occasional travels now and then and earn by commissions. Sometimes my commissions are more than my basic salary. Suffice to say, I can live comfortably as long as I am working and that is why I need to save up for my retirement for them to be golden years ahead and not woeful one where some people have to beg in the streets. I work alone at home, no more obnoxious colleagues and I have a very understanding boss. And I thank God for my blessings now.

Back to the Real World

Guest post written by Alex Brown

Things in Idaho have been pretty easygoing for the past few months. Last month we had a chance to take a plane trip all the way to Shelton, Connecticut to go have Christmas with my brother's family and my parents. That was a great time for everyone. Around New Years, we had a local party with some of our friends. We grilled inside with a george forman grill, drank punch and watched the celebrations in New York on the television. Now that the holidays are way behind us, it's been a lot of staying inside and watching the television after a hard day's work.

On the weekends, I've started to get back to the housework. Fixing things up in the winter isn't too much fun, but I've received some help from the Iapwai sears home improvement team along the way. Pretty soon the housework will be done and perhaps I can finally start to pursue some more recreational activities. My wife and I would really like to sign up for a cardio-kickboxing class...why not improve our health, too?

Just cash out $99.65

Finally my account at Churpchurp has reached $100.65 and I clicked on cash out now - which means that a cheque is on its way next month. There is a $1.00 deduction for admin fee, leaving me with $99.65. It took me a few years to reach this target, but still it is online money from the internet. My hobby is blogging and you might have guessed by now. It is good that I am able to turn my hobby into earning some extra pocket money from the internet. If you are patient and diligent, it is possible to earn cash from your hard work.

Are you Making Money Online?

Just because I have 6 blogs, some copycat no brainer obnoxious colleague also bought 10 personal domain blogs to compete with me. You know who you are! Well, making money online is not everyone's cup of tea. Many tried and gave up. If you continue, it is merely a hobby to voice your thoughts. You might be better off working outside and keep job hopping no matter how bad it is than to try to earn online. And if you do earn, it will most likely be pennies and cents, not enough to buy a cup of Starbucks coffee. So, in the meantime, keep stalking this blog of mine!

Buy Property to Beat Inflation

If you have disposable income and savings in the bank, it is better to invest in properties than to park your money in Fixed Deposits or put in the savings account. Using the rule of 72, if the inflation rate is 4% per year, then it takes 72/4 equals 18 years for your money to become half its value. Prices keep increasing and the cost of living keeps rising due to inflation. Hence, it is better to invest in properties to get rental income and to get capital appreciation as time goes on.

For instance, if you buy a property for $160,000.00 and rent it out for $800 a month, your returns would be 6% compared to putting it in the Fixed Deposit for only 2.75%. Just my 2 cents.

Need to Concentrate on my Main Job

Now I need to concentrate on my main job working in a home office. Previously, in my spare time, I used to moonlight blogging and writing articles for extra cash. Now I have less time to blog and need to find a way to work smart and not hard. My main job is my bread and butter and my boss has been very lenient to me. He knows I also blog part time and as long as it does not interfere with my work, it is ok. But he still prefers if I can concentrate on his work 100%. We are a small company, hence everyone has to play their part and fully utilise whatever we have - our skills and resources.

Need to work hard to save up for my retirement

On average, I earn more than $100 per month from the internet and this is enough to cover expenses for broadband connectivity with some left over for savings. I know there are many other successful netpreneurs out there who are making much more through programs like MLM, Asteria, etc. But you also need to come out with cold hard cash to pay for gold membership monthly in order to earn from your downlines. I don't want to be distracted by too many money making programs, so that I can concentrate on my job which is my main bread and butter.

Not Everyone is Blessed to Earn Online

There are many copycats here online spying what others are doing and trying to imitate them in the hope to earn money online - but there is no free lunch for you, baby! That's because not everyone is blessed to earn online. If you are earning cents and pennies, it is better to treat the internet as a paying hobby than a source of income. There are many others who gave up eventually and just surf the internet for fun or to kill the boredom in their lives. With this in mind, it might be better for most people to find a real job outside than to copy others in the hope of earning money online!

Depuy Orthopedics Lawsuit

My aunt is a lawyer with her own firm of Advocates and Solicitors in Shenton Way, Singapore back in the 1990s and she is now retired from work but not from the internet. She keeps herself active by surfing to the various web sites and read up blogs of interests to keep her mind active and to help prevent Alzheimer's Disease, a debilitating sickness that slowly kills the brain cells leading to eventual death. My nephew is also a successful lawyer who graduated from Australia and he was offered a job even before finishing school because he did very well in his exams.

Anyway, on August 26, 2010 DePuy Orthopedics, owned by Johnson & Johnson, announced a recall of 93,000 hip replacement systems due to a large number of people experiencing pain and swelling so severe that a second hip replacement surgery became necessary. At O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, our attorneys understand that your hip problems may not be your fault – instead, possibly due a defective DePuy Hip Implant. Our expertise and experience, combined with our highly trained staff, make us uniquely well-equipped to handle even the most complex products liability claims. You can check out Depuy lawsuit by clicking on the link or contact O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949

Got my 3rd Nuffnang Cheque Yesterday

Yesterday, when I opened a letter addressed to me, I was elated to receive my third Nuffnang cheque for over RM50. It took me about 2 months to accumulate to this amount. Without doubt, it is not the highest amount earned in Glitterati, nevertheless I am still satisfied with my blogging progress online. There is certainly a lot of traffic and readers to my various blogs on different topics. You can click on the image above and see the enlarged version. I have already banked in the cheque last night and it is cleared by now. More ang pow money this Chinese New Year for me. Yeay!
